Royals Charities surpasses $3 million mark in donations

KANSAS CITY -- Royals Charities, the charitable arm of the Kansas City Royals, is pleased to announce a donation of $230,000 in the 2008 spring grant cycle to 14 non-profit organizations through its Royals Charities Grant Program.

With this contribution, Royals Charities surpasses the $3 million mark donated to Kansas City area charities since 2001.

"Reaching the $3 million mark in contributions is a testament to the continued commitment of the entire Royals family and our fans to the Kansas City community and region," said Royals President Dan Glass. "We are pleased to donate to these non-profit organizations and look forward to supporting such charitable causes in the future."
