Royals host Royals-Rays viewing party in downtown Kansas City on June 2

The Kansas City Royals will partner with the Kansas City Power and Light District to host a viewing party as the Royals take on the Tampa Bay Rays at Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg, Fla., on Tuesday, June 2. Game time is set for 6:08 p.m. (CDT). The free game-watching party begins at 5 p.m. and is open to fans of all ages. The event will be held at KC Live! in the Kansas City Power and Light District in downtown Kansas City with the game displayed on the area's 192-square foot videoboard.

The event will feature a special pre-game party that is highlighted by performances from the Mizzou Golden Girls, the UMKC Dance Team, Lee's Summit (Mo.) North Drum Line and more. Kauffman Stadium in-game host Tim Scott, the 2009 K Crew and Sluggerrr will host contests and games, giving away great Royals prizes to fans in attendance. Also, fans will have the opportunity to win autographed Royals items, gift cards to select restaurants in the Power and Light District and more throughout the event.

KC Live! is an entire city block of hot spots within the Kansas City Power & Light District that has two levels and fourteen (14) high-energy entertainment, nightlife and dining establishments. KC Live! hosts several summer concert series and special events throughout the year.
