Royals unveil plans for 2010 "It All Happens Here" season 02/17/2010 4:26 PM ETMLB.com
KANSAS CITY, MO – The Kansas City Royals have announced a new tagline for the 2010 season tabbed "It All Happens Here." As part of the season-long campaign, the Royals are introducing a special logo that will be used throughout the 2010 season incorporating the "It All Happens Here" tagline. The primary version retains the club's signature crown and shield as well as a silhouette of iconic Kauffman Stadium. The logo will be showcased at Kauffman Stadium, throughout the Kansas City region and featured on the Royals 2010 advertising campaign. "The 'It All Happens Here' slogan celebrates the fan experience at the ballpark, which has been enriched by the recent renovations of Kauffman Stadium and the new traditions fans enjoy while watching Royals baseball," said Mike Bucek, Royals Vice President-Marketing & Business Development. "Along with featuring Royals players and fans, the campaign will highlight many of the unique features that make Kauffman Stadium such a great venue." The campaign, created in partnership with Kansas City-based VML, includes a series of new television commercials as well as internet, radio, print and outdoor advertising. "We want Kansas City and the surrounding region to see just how much there is to do at Kauffman Stadium," said David Levy, Managing Director of VML. "While 'The K' has always been a fan favorite for watching games, the renovations have established the ballpark as one of the area's top entertainment destinations for families and fans of all ages. Our job is to let people know that going to a Royals game is a whole new experience." 25th Anniversary of the 1985 World Series Promotions & Giveaways The 25th Anniversary Celebration includes several premium promotions beginning with the second annual Willie Wilson Classic presented by Farmland on Saturday, May 22 as the 1985 World Series Royals Alumni will take on members of the 1985 St. Louis Cardinals in a softball game prior to the Royals-Rockies 3:10 p.m. matchup. Proceeds from the game benefit TeamSmile, which provides dental care to underprivileged children in the Kansas City community. A special logo reminiscent of the 1985 World Series mark has been created to commemorate the anniversary and will be featured on special-edition giveaways throughout the season, including a 1985 25th Anniversary t-shirt presented by AT&T and a Bret Saberhagen bobblehead presented by Fox Sports Kansas City. Other great giveaways include a Build-a-Bear featuring the commemorative logo presented by the Kansas City Zoo and a Salute to the 1985 World Series poster presented by James Printing.
