2013 HOUSTON ASTROS ACADEMIC ALL-STARS PROGRAM

The Astros are stepping up to the plate and rewarding students for their achievements. The Houston Astros Academic All-Stars program rewards students in all grades for achieving success in specific areas with an Astros ticket voucher good for two free View Deck II tickets to pre-selected Astros Sunday home games.

    Academic All-Stars Program Criteria is for Students in Grades K-12 Who Achieve:
  • Straight A's or Honor Roll;
  • Perfect Attendance; and display
  • Good Conduct/Character

Where Can Students Who Qualify Get an Astros Academic All-Star Voucher?
Vouchers are available only through your participating school. Ask your principal or administrator who is the Astros Academic All-Stars coordinator at your school. Schools seeking to participate in the 2013 program were requested to sign up by December 19, 2012. The school application process is now closed for this year.

For those students eligible for an Academic All-Star Voucher, find two ways you can redeem it for FREE Astros Tickets:

  2013 ACADEMIC ALL-STAR VOUCHER REDEMPTION INSTRUCTIONS

Academic All-Star Game Dates:
First, eligible students must obtain a voucher from their participating school. Students earning the Academic All-Stars reward can redeem one voucher good for two (2) View Deck II tickets to one of four pre-selected game dates only based on availability. Upgrades are available for an additional fee in Field Box, Bullpen, Mezzanine or View Deck I on Academic All-Stars game dates only.

The Academic All-Stars voucher may be redeemed two ways - online OR in person at the Astros Box Office (1701 Texas Avenue). No cash value and non-transferable. Voucher cannot be combined with any other offer and is available only to qualified students.

If your school applied and was granted vouchers for the 2013 Academic All-Stars Program, here are instructions for redeeming your voucher:

  REDEEM ACADEMIC VOUCHER ONLINE (PROCESSING FEES APPLY)

Step 1: If your school registered for the 2013 Academic All-Stars program and you meet the criteria, please request a voucher from your school administrator. Due to the huge demand, schools were requested to apply before December 19, 2012 for the 2013 program.

Step 2: Once you have a voucher, you can use it to order the tickets for one(1) of four(4) preselected Academic All-Stars game dates. Just click the Ticket Icon link and enter your voucher code. Your voucher code is located in the white box on your ticket voucher. Please note - your voucher code is case-sensitive. MLB and TicketMaster processing fees apply only to online redemptions. You also may redeem your voucher for free in person at the Astros Box Office for the selected game (details are below).

Step 3: Enter voucher code in the "ENTER OFFER CODE/PASSWORD" box. The voucher code is required for free tickets or to apply the discount towards the purchase of two (2) or more upgraded tickets.

Step 4: Continue to order your tickets by following the instructions on the web until you have reached the checkout page.

  REDEEM IN-PERSON: AT THE ASTROS BOX OFFICE
  (NO PROCESSING FEES APPLY)

Step 2: Once you have a voucher, you can use it to order the tickets for one(1) of four(4) preselected Academic All-Stars game dates. Please bring your Academic All-Stars ticket voucher to the Minute Maid Park Box Office as soon as possible to get the best selection of seats available on one (1) of the four (4) Academic All-Stars games. The Box Office is open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. and on non-game day Saturdays from 9 a.m. - noon. When the Astros are playing a home game, the Box Office remains open until the completion of the game. No processing fees apply to in-person redemptions.

  ACADEMIC ALL-STARS PROGRAM GROUND RULES

Please read the following program guidelines carefully.

Eligible Students


  • Students in grades K-12 are eligible to participate in this program. The Astros encourage schools to make this opportunity available to all classes.
  • Only students that attend a participating, registered school and who qualify under the program critieria are eligible for the ticket voucher. Individual student registration is not available and additional vouchers are not available for the 2013 season.

Program Reward


  • Students can earn Astros tickets for meeting one or all of the following criteria at any time during the 2013 Spring semester:
    • Straight A's or Honor Roll
    • Perfect Attendance; and display
    • Good Conduct/Character
  • The ticket voucher is an academic incentive prize that is distributed by schools to students meeting the above criteria. Each Astros voucher is good for two (2) free View Deck II tickets on pre-selected Academic All-Stars games (April 7, May 26, June 16 and June 30). Academic All-Stars vouchers may only be applied to these four (4) game dates. Game dates are included on the actual voucher.
  • The voucher can be redeemed on-line at www.astros.com/academics (processing fees apply) or with no processing fees at the Minute Maid Park Box Office.
  • All tickets are subject to availability so we strongly encourage redemption as soon as possible to ensure you can attend one (1) of the four (4) Academic All-Stars game dates.
