Red Sox pitcher Daniel Bard and Royals outfielder Jeff Francoeur attended a press conference at Kauffman Stadium announcing the All-Star Build.
MLB, the Players Trust and State Farm announced on May 9 that they would partner with Habitat for Humanity International to build nine new homes for residents of Joplin, Mo., and Tuscaloosa, Ala., two communities devastated by tornadoes in April and May 2011. Nine homes were built in these communities - five in Joplin and four in Tuscaloosa - with two of them to be framed outside Kauffman Stadium during All-Star Week.
