Eric Hosmer has been an advocate and spokesperson for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Kansas City since 2011, helping to recruit hundreds of Bigs, raise over $45,000 and provide once-in-a-lifetime opportunities for Bigs and Littles. In 2016, Hosmer was nominated for the Roberto Clemente award due in part to his impact with Big Brothers Big Sisters.

In addition, to his work with this campaign, Hosmer and the Kansas City Royals host 150 participants in the Big Brothers Big Sisters program at games, batting practice and meet and greets throughout the season.
