Royals Support Free Dental Clinic on Saturday, July 26
The Royals will partner with Willie Wilson Baseball and TeamSmile to host a free dental health education, screening and treatment clinic Saturday, July 26, at the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Kansas City Thornberry Unit located at 3831 E. 43rd Street, Kansas City, Mo. Skin Cancer Awareness
The Royals team with Major League Baseball on June 21 for Play Sun Smart Skin Cancer Awareness Day at the ballpark. This year marks the 10th year of the Play Sun Smart program, which raises awareness about skin cancer prevention and detection by encouraging skin cancer screenings. July 24 - Royalty Fields Check Presentation - Royals Charities will present a $5,000 check to Southern Youth Sports Baseball from Blue Springs Neb., through the Royalty Fields grant program. The Wymore Little League Baseball Team, sponsored by Southern Youth Sports Baseball, will accept the check on the field prior to the Royals-Tampa Bay Rays game. Through the Royalty Fields program, Royalty Charities provides financial support to help improve baseball and/or softball facilities throughout the six-state Midwest region. |

July 25 - John Buck's BUCKAROOS - Catcher John Buck hosts children from Cornerstones of Care in the "BUCKAROOS" section for Friday's Dodge Buck Night. For each Dodge Buck Night this season, Buck will treat kids who are part of the State of Missouri Foster Care System to complimentary tickets, food coupons and special "BUCKAROOS" T-shirts. In addition, Buck will have a personal meet and greet with the kids prior to the game. |

July 25 - Buses for Baseball - The MLB Players Association hosts children to baseball games in all 30 ballparks through the Buses for Baseball program. Children from Guadalupe Centers, Inc. will receive tickets, souvenirs, food and transportation to the Royals-Tampa Bay Rays game. |

Former Royals players John Mayberry, Frank White and Willie Wilson will be at the event visiting with the young dental patients. |

Aug. 1 - Launch of the Commissioner's Initiative for Kids - The Royals join Major League Baseball to send kids to the ballpark through the Commissioner's Initiative for Kids program. During the months of August and September, the program will provide one million tickets to kids and community groups throughout all 30 Major League Baseball cities. In conjunction with the program, the Royals will make available 50,000 tickets to local non-profit children's charities and organizations. |
