FOX Sports Kansas City is in its fifth season (2012) as the exclusive television home of Royals baseball. FOX Sports Kansas City delivers an expansive Royals television schedule, including 140 regular-season games, Royals Live pregame and postgame shows, and two Spring Training games, as well as extensive coverage at FOXSportsKansasCity.com. All regular season games are produced in High Definition. Royals games on FOX Sports Kansas City and FOX Sports Midwest are available in Kansas City, Kansas, western and central Missouri, Nebraska, Iowa, Arkansas and Oklahoma. Royals games are found on cable TV on FOX Sports Kansas City/FOX Sports Midwest. In the immediate Kansas City area, FOX Sports Kansas City is found on Time Warner (channel 309/HD 1309), Comcast (48 in Independence, Mo.; 73 in Olathe, Kan.; HD 201), Surewest (channel 30/649), and FairPoint (37/437).
Royals games on FOX Sports Kansas City are available within most of the MLB-designated Royals televison territory on DirecTV, Dish Network and AT&T U-verse. On DirecTV, Royals games air on channel 672. On Dish Network, Royals games air on a sports alternate channel between 444 and 453 or in the 470s. On AT&T U-verse, Royals games air on channel 750.
All of FOX Sports' Royals telecasts are available to fans in mid-Missouri and Iowa. Of the 140 regular-season telecasts, approximately 30 will air on the primary FOX Sports Midwest channel on cable. The remaining games air on cable on an alternate channel, which in some areas is labeled FOX Sports Midwest Plus (Mediacom channel 34 in Iowa; Mediacom channel 126 in mid-Missouri; Cable One-Joplin channel 78, Cable One-Kirksville 3; Suddenlink-Branson channel 18, Charter-Southeast Missouri TBD). On DirecTV, all Royals games air on channel 672. On Dish Network, Royals games air on a sports alternate channel between 444 and 453 or in the 470s. St. Louis Cardinals telecasts are also available in mid-Missouri and Iowa.
In 2011, for the first time, all regular season games will be produced in High Definition.
Starting in 2011, all Kansas City Royals telecasts produced by FOX Sports are available in Iowa. On cable TV, approximately 30 games will air on the primary FOX Sports Midwest channel on cable. The remaining 110 will air on an alternate channel (where available), including Mediacom 34, which will be labeled FOX Sports Midwest Plus. On DirecTV all games will air on channel 672 and on Dish Network all games will air on a sports alternate channel. FOX Sports Midwest's St. Louis Cardinals telecasts are also available in Iowa.
Royals telecasts are available in Arkansas and Oklahoma. On cable TV in most areas of Arkansas and Oklahoma, fans can watch select Royals games on an alternate cable channel known as FOX Sports Southwest Plus. (The schedule of games available on in Arkansas and Oklahoma on FOX Sports Southwest Plus will be available in March. On DirecTV (channel 672) and Dish Network (sports alternate channel 444-453 or 470-475), fans in Arkansas and Oklahoma can watch all 140 games televised by FOX Sports Kansas City by subscribing to the SportsPack on DirecTV or the Multi-Sport package on Dish.
