Dan Glass, President
Dan Glass enters his 18th season as President of the Kansas City Royals and is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the Royals organization.
In 2014, the Royals were recognized by Baseball America, earning the prestigious "Organization of the Year" Award for just the second time in franchise history, while reaching the World Series for the first time in 29 years. The club took it a step further in 2015, winning their second World Championship and first since 1985.
Mr. Glass first joined the Royals in 1993 as a Baseball Operations Assistant and was named Assistant Director of Player Personnel three years later. Mr. Glass also assisted Major League, Scouting and Player Development operations. His responsibilities included the development of the Latin American program, negotiations of player contracts, arbitration preparation and budget oversight.
Mr. Glass serves on the Royals Charities Board of Directors, the charitable foundation of the Kansas City Royals. Created in 2001, Royals Charities has donated more than $12.5 million to support children, education, youth baseball/softball and military programs in and around the Kansas City area.
Glass is a partner of Glass Investments, a real estate development entity focusing on commercial property throughout the Midwest region. In addition, he serves on the Board of Directors of the Kansas City Crime Commission and the Board of Directors at Arvest Bank. He is also a graduate of the FBI Citizens Academy.
A graduate of Drury University, Dan and his wife, Penny, have two children and reside in Olathe, Kan.
