Trevor Vance, Director-Groundskeeping and Landscaping
Trevor Vance begins his 30th season with the Kansas City Royals and his 20th as the Royals' Senior Director-Groundskeeping and Landscaping, overseeing the supervision and overall operation of the natural grass field at Kauffman Stadium. Vance joined the groundscrew as a part-time member in 1985 and became a full-time staff member in 1988. He was named Assistant Groundskeeper in 1993, before assuming his current post prior to the 1995 season.
A native of Raytown, Mo., and a 1985 graduate of Raytown High, Vance also attended Central Missouri State University. He resides in Lee's Summit, Mo., with his wife, Laura. They have four children: Kelsie, Hayden, Tanner and Morgan.
