Trevor Vance, Director-Groundskeeping and Landscaping

Trevor Vance begins his 32nd season with the Kansas City Royals, and his 22nd as the Royals' Senior Director-Groundskeeping and Landscaping. He oversees the supervision and overall operation of the natural grass field at Kauffman Stadium. Vance joined the groundscrew as a part-time member in 1985 and became a full-time staff member in 1988. He was named Assistant Groundskeeper in 1993, before assuming his current post prior to the 1995 season.

Vance has worked with several youth organizations throughout Kansas City to help promote safe playing surfaces for all youth sports.

A native of Raytown, Mo., and a 1985 graduate of Raytown High School, Vance attended Central Missouri State University. He enjoys fishing during the offseason.

Vance resides in Lee's Summit, Mo., with his wife, Laura, four children Kelsie, Hayden, Tanner and Morgan, and his two bulldogs, Peyton and Jennie.
