Join the Royals in celebration of the 1980 American League Champion Royals on Saturday, August 14. A special pre-game ceremony including on-field recognition for members of the 1980 team will take place prior to the Royals-Yankees game at 6:10 p.m. Members of the 1980 A.L. Championship team scheduled to attend* are Willie Aikens, George Brett, Dennis Leonard, Marty Pattin, John Wathan and Willie Wilson.
In addition, fans can enjoy a special video tribute to the three-game championship series against the Yankees during Saturday's game. Plus, the first 20,000 fans through the gates will receive a Coaster Set presented by AT&T commemorating key moments during the 1980 American League Championship series.
