2007 American Idol finalist Chris Sligh and GMA Female Vocalist of the Year Natalie Grant will perform after the Royals-Tigers game Aug. 23.
The Kansas City Royals have partnered with Third Coast to bring you Christian Family Night on Saturday, August 23.
The event features a post-game concert with Christian recording artist and three-time reigning GMA Female Vocalist of the Year Natalie Grant along with Christian recording artist and 2007 American Idol finalist Chris Sligh. Royals General Manager Dayton Moore, Manager Trey Hillman and Pitcher Brian Bannister are scheduled to attend. The evening also includes a special appearance from Larry the Cucumber and Bob the Tomato from the hit animated series "Veggie Tales."
Christian Family Night is August 23, with the Royals taking on the Detroit Tigers at 6:10 p.m. The concert begins shortly after the conclusion of the game in the Royals parking lot. The concert will be held behind temporary construction trailers in Parking Lot A, located just outside of Gate D on the first base side of the stadium. Fans attending the concert should exit the stadium through Gate D for quick and easy access to the concert site. Fans who purchase the Christian Family Night package will receive an event voucher with their game ticket and must present both for admittance to the concert. Fans who have not purchased the package may buy individual concert vouchers for $10 each inside the stadium during the game. The concert will feature general admission seating with Royals staff on hand to provide assistance.
The concert will be held, rain or shine, unless severe weather deems it unsafe to proceed.
