Season Ticket Holder Policies

Royals MLB Postseason and 2012 All-Star Event Season Ticket Policies

Kansas City Royals Season Ticket Holders will be among the first to have the opportunity to secure tickets for any Major League Baseball (MLB) postseason games and the MLB 2012 All Star events to be played at Kauffman Stadium. While we will make every effort to abide by the rules set forth below, these "Postseason and 2012 All-Star Events" are hosted by the Royals for Major League Baseball and thus are subject to possible changes based on MLB requirements. The specific location and number of seats available for purchase depend on a number of factors, including the size of Season Ticket Plan (i.e. Premium, Full Season, Half Season or 21-Game Plan), Season Ticket Account longevity (i.e. the number of continuous years a Season Ticket Holder has maintained their Royals Season Ticket account in good standing), the number of seats held in a Season Ticket Plan, and the seating category held in a Season Ticket Plan. The guidelines by which seats will be allocated for each type of Season Ticket Plan are explained in detail below.

Please Note: Tickets for the 2012 All-Star Week events are required to be sold in full strips only. A strip consists of All-Star related events on Sunday and Monday, the All-Star Game on Tuesday and two All-Star FanFest tickets at the Kansas City Convention Center for every one full season seat. There is no exception to this policy.

Premium Season Ticket Holders (SUITE HOLDERS, CROWN CLUB, DIAMOND CLUB AND DIAMOND CLUB BOX)
Premium Season Ticket Holders may purchase the same number of seats as held in their season ticket plan. While every effort will be made to provide the same Season Ticket seat location(s) for all MLB Postseason games and 2012 All-Star events, in some cases it will be necessary to relocate a Premium Ticket Holder from their Season Ticket seat location for postseason or the 2012 All-Star events. In the event a Premium Season Ticket Holder must be relocated the Royals will work with the specific Season Ticket Holders to secure the best available location. Premium customers with a Full Plan will have priority over Premium customers with a Half or 21-game plan. All Premium Season Ticket Holders will be assigned seats prior to the seat allocation process for Full, Half, 21-game Season Ticket Holders and the general public.

Full Season Ticket Holders
Full Season Ticket Holders may purchase the same number of seats as held in their season ticket plan. While every effort will be made to provide the same Season Ticket seat location(s) for all MLB Postseason games and 2012 All-Star events, in some cases it will be necessary to relocate a Full Season Ticket Holder from their Season Ticket seat location for MLB postseason or 2012 All-Star events. In the event a Full Season Ticket Holder must be relocated the Royals will work with the specific Season Ticket Holders to secure the best available location. All Full Season Ticket Holders will be assigned seats prior to the seat allocation process for Half, 21-game Season Ticket Holders and general public.

Half Season Ticket Holders
Half Season Ticket Holders may purchase the same number of seats as held in their season ticket plan. While every effort will be made to provide the same Season Ticket seat location(s) for all MLB Postseason games and 2012 All-Star events, in some cases it will be necessary to relocate a Half Season Ticket Holder from their Season Ticket seat location for MLB postseason or 2012 All-Star events. In the event a Half Season Ticket Holder must be relocated the Royals will work with the specific Season Ticket Holders to secure the best available location. All Half Season Ticket Holders will be assigned seats prior to the seat allocation process for 21-game Season Ticket Holders and general public.

Based on the number of season seats sold and the available seating for MLB Postseason and 2012 All-Star events, the Royals may limit the sales of MLB Postseason and 2012 All-Star events tickets for new Season Ticket Holders to Full Season Ticket Plans. (E.g. A customer that plans to purchase a new Season Ticket plan that did not own a Season Ticket Plan the prior season or consecutive prior seasons, may need to purchase a Full Season Ticket plan to guarantee seats for postseason games or MLB All-Star events.)

21-Game Plan Season Ticket Holders

Postseason:
Following the seat allocation of all Half Season Ticket Holders, all 21-Game Plan Season Ticket Holders may purchase seats for one (1) game per each MLB postseason series through an online pre-sale. 21-Game Plan Holders will be notified of the timing, instructions and details for this pre-sale at least one (1) week in advance of the scheduled date. 21-Game Plan Holders will have access to the pre-sale based on Account Longevity (i.e. Season Ticket Accounts with the greatest longevity will have the first opportunity to secure seats). 21-Game Plan Season Ticket Accounts with one (1) or two (2) seats will be allowed to purchase up to two (2) tickets for one (1) game per series. 21-Game Plan Season Ticket Accounts with three (3) or four (4) seats will be allowed to purchase up to four (4) tickets for one (1) game per series. 21-Game Plan Season Ticket Accounts with five (5) or six (6) seats will be allowed to purchase up to six (6) tickets for one (1) game per series. 21-Game Plan Season Ticket Accounts with seven (7) or more seats will be allowed to purchase up to eight (8) tickets for one (1) game per series.

2012 All-Star events:
Following the seat allocation of all Premium, Full and Half Season Ticket Holders, 21-Game Plan Season Ticket Holders will be offered an opportunity to secure the same number of tickets as held in their 21-Game Season Ticket Plan up to a maximum of four (4) seats for the 2012 All-Star events at Kauffman Stadium. Due to the limited seating inventory, 21-Game Plan Season Ticket Holders are not guaranteed the opportunity to purchase tickets for the 2012 All-Star events. As a way to recognize long-standing customers, seat availability and location will be based on Season Ticket Account longevity. When possible, seats will be assigned in the same seating category as held in the Season Ticket plan. In the event the same seating category is not available, seats will be assigned in the next best available seating category.

Based on the number of season seats sold and the available seating for the 2012 All-Star events the Royals may limit the sales of tickets for new Season Ticket Holders to Full and/or Half Season Ticket Plans. (E.g. A customer that plans to purchase a new Season Ticket plan that did not own a Season Ticket Plan the prior season or consecutive prior seasons, may be required to purchase a Full Season plan to guarantee seats for the 2012 All-Star events.)

Potential Season Ticket Holder Pre-Sales (additional tickets):
Based on the specific event and available seating, the Royals may be able to offer exclusive pre-sales for some or all Season Ticket Holders for postseason games and/or 2012 All-Star events. Priority for any pre-sale will be based on account longevity and Season Ticket Plan size. Those included will be notified in advance of any such pre-sale via e-mail and/or USPS mail.
