Phillies at the plate: Geoff Jenkins shook off the rust and clubbed his first homer of the spring in the fourth. The two-run shot off Matt Garza gave the Phillies a three-run lead.

Rays at the plate: Evan Longoria, a strong American League Rookie of the Year candidate, broke up Cole Hamels' perfect game with a fifth-inning solo homer.

Phillies on the mound: Hamels had his longest and best outing of the spring, going six innings. He didn't allow a hit until Longoria's homer with two outs in the fifth. Overall, he surrendered two hits, while walking none and striking out seven.

Rays on the mound: Garza, the Rays' likely No. 3 starter, lasted six innings and surrendered four runs (three earned) on four hits. He walked three and struck out two.

Grapefruit League records: Phillies 8-12-1, Rays 13-4-1.

Up next: The two clubs square off again, this time at Progress Energy Park in St. Petersburg, Fla., on Wednesday at 1:05 p.m. ET. Veteran Jamie Moyer, the Phillies No. 3 starter, will start for Philadelphia. Tampa Bay's Edwin Jackson, who is in contention for a rotation spot, will make his fourth start after going 0-1 with a 7.36 ERA in his previous three outings. Also expected to pitch for the Rays are Scott Munter, Scott Dohmann, Troy Percival and Grant Balfour.
