Omaha's offense jumped to an early lead while a trio of hurlers combined on a shutout. Nate Adcock fanned five while allowing just two hits and two walks over 5 1/3 innings. Francisley Bueno struck out four in 1 2/3 innings, and Louis Coleman posted a pair of scoreless frames. Tony Abreu went 3-for-4, boosting his average to .583 (7-for-12). Johnny Giavotella and Derrick Robinson added two hits apiece.

Northwest Arkansas lost the rubber game at Corpus Christi. Noel Arguelles (3 1/3 innings, seven hits, five runs, three earned runs, two walks) took the defeat in his Double-A debut. Wil Myers led the Naturals with two hits, including his second home run in as many games. The Naturals are at San Antonio (Padres) on Sunday.

Wilmington dropped a second straight as Myrtle Beach broke a 1-1 tie in the sixth. Overland Park, Kan., native Jason Adam limited the Pelicans to a run on four hits and two walks over five innings. Roman Hernandez drove home Alex McClure for his first RBI in the Minors. Hernandez, a 24-year-old Cuban defector, signed with the Royals on Feb. 1.

Kane County captured a road series against the River Bandits. Leadoff man Justin Trapp delivered a 3-for-4 night with a home run, two RBIs and two runs. Murray Watts added two doubles, a two-run home run and three runs. Kellen Moen struck out nine while yielding three runs (one earned) on four hits and a walk over 4 1/3 innings. The Cougars have Sunday off. They open the home slate on Monday vs. Beloit.
