The Storm Chasers have lost three in a row, with the latest two coming against Salt Lake. Verdugo (5 2/3 innings, six hits, five earned runs, four walks, three strikeouts) allowed a pair of two-run homers in the fourth. Myers hit his first homer at the Triple-A level, a two-run blast off of Juan Rincon in the opening frame. Myers added two singles, finishing 3-for-5. Max Ramirez was 3-for-3 with a walk and an RBI.

The Naturals enjoyed an off-day at home on Tuesday. They kick off a six-game homestand tonight vs. Midland (Athletics).

The Blue Rocks won a second straight, as they rallied from a 2-1 deficit with three in the eighth. Roman Hernandez knotted the score at 2-2 with a ground-rule double that scored Brian Fletcher. Alex McClure followed with a two-run single, plating Cheslor Cuthbert and Hernandez. Starter Yordano Ventura fanned nine while limiting the Nationals to one run on three hits and a walk over five innings. Ventura has 58 strikeouts in 44 1/3 innings, a rate of 11.77 strikeouts per nine innings.

The Cougars were off on Tuesday. They open a home set vs. Burlington (Athletics) tonight.
