Friday, June 1 – Oakland Athletics vs. Royals, 7:10 p.m.

  • 50/50 Friday – For every Friday home game, volunteers sell raffle tickets from the time gates open until the end of the fourth inning.  One winning ticket will be selected with the winner taking home half of the evening’s net proceeds.  The other half will be divided between Royals Charities and a local Kansas City charity.  The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation will be the designated charity for Friday’s fundraiser.  www.royals.com/5050.  
  • Budweiser Walk-Off A Hero – The Royals and Budweiser salute a member of the military by providing complimentary tickets and recognizing the honoree with a special in-game recognition. 

 

Saturday, June 2 – Oakland Athletics vs. Royals, 1:10 p.m.

  • Aquafina MLB Pitch, Hit & Run – Young baseball and softball players take the Kauffman Stadium field from 8-9:30 a.m. to compete in the team championship of the Aquafina MLB Pitch, Hit & Run competition. 
  • UMPS CARE – The Royals partner with Major League Baseball umpires to offer memorable baseball experiences for children awaiting adoption and at-risk youth in mentoring programs.  The children receive a VIP experience including complimentary tickets, a baseball goody bag, and the unique opportunity to step on to the field for a souvenir baseball and photo.
  • Budweiser Walk-Off A Hero – The Royals and Budweiser salute a member of the military by providing complimentary tickets and recognizing the honoree with a special in-game recognition. 

 

Sunday, June 3 – Oakland Athletics vs. Royals, 1:10 p.m.

  • Royals Troopers – The Royals Grounds Crew welcomes select children who have a parent deployed through the United States military efforts overseas to join them in game preparations as part of the Royals Troopers program presented by John Deere.  The honored kids will help prepare the field prior to the game and will receive game tickets and Royals merchandise.
  • Budweiser Walk-Off A Hero – The Royals and Budweiser salute a member of the military by providing complimentary tickets and recognizing the honoree with a special in-game recognition. 

 

Monday, June 4 – Minnesota Twins vs. Royals, 7:10 p.m.

  • Chevy Instructional Clinic – As part of a partnership with the KC Chevy Dealers, Royals Alumni host a free instructional clinic for pre-selected children on the Kauffman Stadium field from 11:15 a.m.-1:30 p.m.  Instructors for Monday’s clinic are Jim Eisenreich, Dennis Leonard, Les Norman, Greg Pryor and Jerry Terrell.

 

Tuesday, June 5 – Minnesota Twins vs. Royals, 7:10 p.m.

  • RBI Base Ball Patron’s Party – The Royals join the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Kansas City for the Reviving Baseball in Inner Cities (RBI) Base Ball Patron’s Party in the Hall of Fame Suites at Kauffman Stadium.  A presentation from the B&GC-GKC is scheduled for 5:45-6:30 p.m.  The Base Ball is scheduled for the evening of Thursday, July 5 at the MLB All-Star FanFest at Bartle Hall before it opens to the public the following day.  Proceeds will benefit the RBI programs in both Kansas City, Mo., and Kansas City, Kan.  For more information on the fundraiser, please contact B&GC-GKC at (816) 361-3600.
  • RBI Night – The Royals host participants in the RBI program of Kansas City, Mo., for a special night at Kauffman Stadium.  The kids receive complimentary tickets and special recognition during the game.

Wednesday, June 6 – Minnesota Twins vs. Royals, 7:10 p.m.

  • Dream Factory – Throughout the season, the Royals grant the wishes of Dream Factory children.  These youngsters, who face life-altering challenges, will meet Royals players, watch batting practice from the dugout, and enjoy the game and refreshments.  Their Royals experience appears on the KMBC-TV (Channel 9) 10 p.m. newscast.
  • Father of the Year Winners Honored – In celebration of Father’s Day, thousands of students submit essays entitled "What My Father Means to Me" through the National Center for Fathering's “Royals Father of the Year” contest.  The winning authors and fathers are treated with complimentary game tickets and a special pregame reception beginning at 5 p.m. in Lot A.  Finalists will be recognized during pregame ceremonies, with the winning father sitting in the Buck O’Neil Legacy Seat that evening.

Royals and 610 Sports Radio Team Up for “Royals Charities presents Royals Weekly” Radio Show

Fans can learn about all of the club’s community and charity efforts by tuning into the “Royals Charities presents Royals Weekly” radio program.  The one-hour show, which is scheduled to air every Sunday at 10 a.m. throughout the season, can be heard on 610 Sports Radio, the flagship station of the Royals.  In addition to the club’s community outreach efforts, the program will highlight upcoming player appearances and provide a season-long radio tour of the Royals Hall of Fame.
