O's invite Dickerson to big league camp
Outfielder signs Minor League deal, played last two seasons with Yankees
The Orioles have signed outfielder Chris Dickerson to a Minor League deal with an invitation to Spring Training.
The 30-year-old will remain in the American League East after spending the last two seasons with the Yankees. He appeared in 25 games last year, batting .286 with two homers and five RBIs. In 69 games for Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre in 2012, he hit .316 with a .932 OPS.
Dickerson has also played for the Reds and the Brewers, but never appeared in more than 97 games (in 2009) in a season. He has not played in more than 60 big league games since that 2009 season with Cincinnati.
Dickerson, a Reds 16th-round pick in the 2003 First-Year Player Draft, is a career .266 hitter with 11 career homers and 47 RBIs.
