Astros Foundation to Host Sold-Out Picnic in the Park Tomorrow
Charitable fundraiser to feature Astros players and front office members, family-friendly activities and more in the outfield of Minute Maid Park
HOUSTON, TX - The Astros Foundation will hold its second annual Picnic in the Park fundraising event in the outfield of Minute Maid Park tomorrow. This sold-out special Father's Day event will feature the majority of the 2014 Astros roster of players, Astros alumni and members of the Astros front office including manager Bo Porter and owner Jim Crane. All proceeds from the charitable event will benefit the Astros Foundation's cornerstone youth baseball programs in the Greater Houston Area.
Fans will once again be treated to an hour-long autograph session with Astros players, activities for families and children and a picnic buffet. Additionally, each fan will receive a complimentary picnic mat.
Picnic in the Park will begin approximately 45 minutes after the conclusion of the Astros 1:10pm game. vs. the Tampa Bay Rays. For more information, please visit www.astros.com/picnic.
