Paulo Orlando recorded an inside-the-park home run, his second in as many seasons. Clayton Mortensen (5.1 IP, 5 H, 2 ER, 2 BB, 4 SO) moved to 3-0 with a 0.99 ERA. Tim Collins made his first appearance since being optioned on Tuesday, working 1.2 scoreless innings with a hit and a strikeout.

The Naturals withstood a late Midland rally to even a road set at 1-1. Andy Ferguson tossed 6.0 scoreless innings, striking out four while scattering three hits and two walks. He's 4-1 over his last 5 starts, posting a 1.34 ERA (5 ER in 33.2 IP). Lane Adams doubled, homered and drove in three. He has five home runs and nine RBI over his last eight games. Sixth-ranked Royals prospect Hunter Dozier drove in a run and posted his first three-hit game at the Double-A level. He's batting .320 (8-for-25) in six games with the Naturals. Justin Trapp added three hits and a RBI.

The Blue Rocks were no-hit for the first time since 2012. Lucas Sims (7.0 IP, 0 H, 1 R, 0 ER, 4 BB, 6 SO) and Alex Wilson (2.0 IP, 0 H, 0 ER, 2 BB, 3 SO) combined on the no-no. Wilmington compiled a walk, a passed ball, an error and a Terrance Gore grounder to tie the game at 1-1 in the fifth. Sean Manaea pitched well in defeat, striking out five while allowing three runs, four hits and two walks over 6.1 innings. He is fourth in the league with 78 strikeouts.

The Legends dropped a pair of seven-inning games at Hagerstown. The first contest was scoreless until Alfredo Escalera homered in the fifth. Hagerstown moved ahead in the home half, with a Mauricio Ramos solo shot tying the game at 2-2 in the sixth. Ramos finished 3-for-3, needing only a triple for the cycle. Crawford Simmons pitched well in game two, striking out five without a walk over 5.0 innings. He allowed the game's lone run on a home run in the second.

Idaho Falls won the first of four vs. Grand Junction. Torey Deshazier worked the final 5.0 innings, striking out six while allowing a lone run on six hits and a walk. Jecksson Flores drove in two, including a run-scoring triple in the fourth. Robert Pehl added two RBI and Alexis Rivera was 3-for-4 with a run scored.

The Royals were blanked by Elizabethton for a second straight night. Meibrys Viloria's leadoff single in the fifth was Burlington's lone hit off of Australian righty Sam Gibbons (7.0 IP). Carter Hope (5.1 IP, 7 H, 4 R, 2 ER, 1 BB, 3 SO) held the Twins to a run until the sixth. Cristian Cano and Riley King recorded outfield assists for the Royals.
