  • Astros to Host In-State Rival Texas Rangers for Weekend Series

    Beginning tomorrow, the Astros host the in-state and division rival Texas Rangers for a three game series, May 20-22. The Lone Star Series, presented by AT&T, represents the 19-game season series between the two ballclubs and will decide the winner of the Silver Boot. The Astros won the Silver Boot in 2014 and the Rangers took home the trophy in 2015. The Rangers currently lead the series, 3-0.

  • Astros Select Moran to Major League Roster, Recall Gattis

    The Houston Astros have made several roster moves today, including the selection of infielder Colin Moran to the Major League roster, officially recalling catcher Evan Gattis from Double A Corpus Christi and placing outfielder Carlos Gomez on the 15-day DL with a bruised left rib cage. To make room for Moran on the 40-man roster, the Astros designated right-handed pitcher Asher Wojciechowski for assignment. The announcement was made by Astros General Manager Jeff Luhnow.

  • Jackie Robinson Day and Keuchel's Korner Highlight Weekend Series at Home

    The Astros host the Detroit Tigers for a three-game series starting tonight, April 15, for the first home weekend series of the 2016 season. Starting tonight's game is 2015 AL Cy Young Award winner Dallas Keuchel, who will face off against the Tigers Mike Pelfrey for a 7:10 p.m. CT first pitch.
