Royals to hold open tryout camp on June 10

KANSAS CITY -- The Kansas City Royals will hold an open tryout camp at Mid America Nazarene University in Olathe, Kan., on Tuesday, June 10.
This camp is for players who are not selected by another major league organization in the 2008 June Free Agent Draft. American Legion players are required to bring a letter of permission to participate signed by either their Legion Coach or Post Commander.
Each player is required to sign a liability waiver. If a player is under the age of 21, a parent or guardian must also sign the waiver. A copy of the liability waiver may be found on the Royals website or you may e-mail linda.smith@royals.com. Copies will also be available at the tryout camp.
There is no registration fee. Registration will begin at 8:00 a.m. and the camp will start at 9:00 a.m. Bring your own personal equipment (shoes, glove, etc.). If you do not have a uniform, you should wear loose-fitting clothing, which will allow you to move freely.
