Gathright out, DeJesus in after collision

Tangle in outfield on Saturday night results in lineup change

MIAMI -- David DeJesus was in center field, but Joey Gathright was out of the starting lineup on Sunday after their jarring collision.

They met in mid-air on Saturday night when Gathright, coming from center field, and DeJesus, moving over from right, leaped after Mike Jacobs' drive to the wall in the Marlins' fourth inning. Gathright got his glove on the ball, but it went for a triple.

"I don't feel anything," DeJesus said. "I'm good to go. Ready to bounce up and get going again."

Gathright's left shoulder popped out and back in, but he said he could play against the Marlins if needed on Sunday. This wasn't the first time his shoulder was dislocated temporarily.

"I'm sore, but I'm used to the pain before when it came out," Gathright said. "It happens every once in a while. It comes and goes. I know how it's going to feel, what I need to do, how many days it's going to take. So that's where I'm at right now."

How many days might he be out?

"I'm not really sure. We'll take it day-by-day and see what happens," Gathright said.
