Crisp held out of matchup vs. Tribe
Outfielder's ailing right shoulder has Royals cautious
By Dick Kaegel / MLB.com
Crisp was held out of the Royals' lineup for Wednesday night's game against the Indians because of concern over his right shoulder. He had returned to the lineup in center field in Tuesday night's 8-4 loss after missing the two weekend games at Toronto.
"I think there's still some discomfort in there [batting] left-handed so I thought it'd be a good opportunity to move Willie [Bloomquist] around and get T.J. [Tony Pena Jr.] back in the middle of the diamond and see how we roll there," Hillman said.
Bloomquist, after starting three straight games at shortstop, took over for Crisp in center and Pena played short.
Hillman said that holding out Crisp did not indicate more problems with the shoulder.
"No setbacks," he said.
