Four prospects star in Team USA victory
Royals farmhands key in shutout win against Canada

Left-hander Mike Montgomery worked five shutout innings and struck out eight for his second victory in two starts. He gave up three hits and two walks. Montgomery's total of 14 strikeouts is one more than Royals teammate Everett Teaford's 13 and he lowered his ERA to 1.80.
Lefty Tim Collins finished the game with a scoreless ninth, with one hit, one walk and one strikeout. He hasn't given up a run in five innings of relief in four games.
First baseman Eric Hosmer pounded a ninth-inning home run to right field and also had a double to knock in two runs. He has a .379 (11-for-29) average with seven RBIs, tied for the team lead.
Third baseman Mike Moustakas went 3-for-4 and doubled down the right-field line in the sixth inning, scoring on Hosmer's double to left. Moustakas raised his average to .265 (9-for-34) and has a homer and six RBIs.
Canada first baseman Scott Thorman, who played for the Royals' Triple-A club at Omaha, was 0-for-3.
Team USA (8-0) ends second-round play against Cuba at 6:30 p.m. CT on Monday in Ponce, Puerto Rico, then plays in the final four on Tuesday and Wednesday.
