Rene Francisco was promoted to assistant general manager/international operations, Scott Sharp to director of player development and Kyle Vena to assistant director of player development.
"I am extremely proud of the great work by our scouting and player development departments," Moore said. "Rene, Scott and Kyle have been instrumental in our success and we look forward to their continued leadership in these vital roles."
Francisco, with the Royals since 2006, has been leading the expansion of the club's international scouting efforts, which have netted such players as catcher Salvador Perez and reliever Kelvin Herrera and several top prospects.
Sharp also joined the Royals in 2006 and has been director of Minor League operations since 2008. Under his leadership, the Royals were rated No. 1 among the game's farm systems in 2011 by Baseball America.
"Scott has done an excellent job leading our player development department and has earned the complete respect of our staff," said J.J. Picollo, the Royals' assistant general manager/scouting and player development.
Vena, a Kansas Citian, has been in the organization for 17 years, beginning his career as a batboy. He's a law graduate from the University of Missouri-Kansas City and also has a sports management degree from the University of Kansas.
