Johnny Giavotella singled home Willy Taveras in the 10th, as Omaha evened the series at 1-1. Giavotella finished with two RBIs and is batting .444 over his past 10 games. Ramirez and Brandon Wood each had solo home runs for the Storm Chasers, while Mariot earned his first win after tossing 1 2/3 innings.
NW Arkansas Naturals (7-14)
Tulsa 6, Northwest Arkansas 1
LP: Noel Arguelles (1-3)
HR: Yem Prades (2)
Northwest Arkansas lost the opener at Tulsa. The starter Arguelles yielded five runs (three earned) on seven hits and three walks over six innings. Prades recorded two hits, including his second homer in as many nights.
Wilmington Blue Rocks (9-12)
Winston-Salem 5, Wilmington 4
LP: Andrew Triggs (1-2)
Wilmington dropped their opener against Winston-Salem, which scored single runs in the ninth and 10th, handing Triggs his second loss. Second baseman Justin Trapp went 4-for-5 with two doubles and a triple, while center fielder Lane Adams had three hits.
Lexington Legends (8-14)
Augusta 12, Lexington 1
LP: Colin Rodgers (1-1)
Lexington lost its first game of the series with Augusta. The Green Jackets scored four runs in the fifth and three in the sixth. Left fielder Terrance Gore went 1-for-3 and scored Lexington's lone run.
