Omaha built a 10-2 lead en route to a rubber game win vs. New Orleans. Brett Hayes went 3-for-4 with an RBI and a run, finishing a home run shy of the cycle. Anthony Seratelli was 2-for-4 with a three-run homer in the eighth. Paulo Orlando added two hits, two RBI and a run. Orlando is batting .381 (16-for-42) over his last 14 games. Justin Marks (6.2 IP, 4 H, 2 ER, 4 BB, 8 SO) earned his first win since May 16.
NW Arkansas Naturals (8-5 2nd half, 33-50 overall)
NW Arkansas 11, Midland 2
WP: J.C. Sulbaran (3-4)
Northwest Arkansas broke open a 2-2 game with two in the eighth and seven in the ninth. Every Naturals batter recorded at least one hit and one run. Brian Fletcher and Whit Merrifield posted two RBI apiece. Brooks Pounders scattered two runs, six hits and a walk in his first start since throwing a no-hitter on Thursday. J.C. Sulbaran earned the win after tossing a scoreless seventh.
Wilmington Blue Rocks (7-5 2nd half, 40-42 overall)
Frederick 2, Wilmington 1
LP: Sam Selman (7-6)
HR: Lane Adams (7)
Wilmington missed a chance for a three-game sweep at Frederick. Sam Selman scattered two runs (one earned), four hits and three walks over 5.0 innings. Cody Fassold followed with 3.0 scoreless innings. Lane Adams homered in the fifth and has five roundtrippers over his last nine games. Wilmington's road trip continues tonight with the first of four at Potomac (Nationals).
Lexington 4, Greenville 2
WP: Crawford Simmons (1-1)
SV: Mark Peterson (9)
HR: Bubba Starling (8)
Lexington earned a three-game home sweep. Bubba Starling hit a go-ahead two-run homer and is batting .381 (8-for-21) with seven RBI over his last seven games. Crawford Simmons (6.0 IP, 4 H, 1 ER, 0 BB, 5 SO) earned his first win since 2010. He missed last year with an elbow injury.
Idaho Falls Chukars (4-10)
Orem 13, Idaho Falls 10
LP: Ashton Goudeau (0-3)
HR: Hunter Dozier (1)
Idaho Falls split a two-game set at Orem. 2013 first-round pick Hunter Dozier hit his first professional home run in the eighth. He finished 3-for-5 with two RBI and three runs. Adrian Bringas added three hits and three RBI, boosting his average to .474 (9-for-19). Cory Stubbs was 3-for-5 with an RBI and a run.
Burlington Royals (5-7)
Burlington's game at Danville was postponed due to rain. No makeup date has been announced. The Royals host Princeton (Rays) tonight.
Surprise Royals (5-6)
Arizona Indians 4, Surprise 3
LP: Hunter Haynes (0-2)
Surprise lost a back-and-forth game at Goodyear. Starter Igor Feliz allowed three runs (two earned) over 4.2 innings. Greg Billo fanned four over 2.0 perfect innings in a rehab assignment. Amalani Fukofuka and Angel Franco drove in runs for Surprise. Franco, an All-Star with Northwest Arkansas, just began his rehab stint (hamstring).
