LP: Justin Marks (5-12)
Shane Peterson hit a two-run homer in the ninth, lifting the River Cats past Omaha. Felipe Paulino made a rehab start, allowing four runs (two earned), five hits and a walk over 3.0 innings. He fanned four and threw 62 pitches, 46 for strikes. Justin Marks followed with 6.0 innings against his former organization. The lefty fanned 11 and did not allow a hit until the fateful ninth, when he allowed a single and the homer. Paulo Orlando was 3-for-3 with a walk, two RBI and a run.
NW Arkansas Naturals (23-24 2nd half, 48-69 overall)
NW Arkansas 12, Corpus Christi 5
WP: Jason Adam (7-10)
HR: Juan Graterol (3)
Every Naturals batter recorded at least one hit and one run in a road rout. Juan Graterol broke a 2-2 tie with a three-run homer in the fourth. Jorge Bonifacio posted two hits, four RBI and a run. Cheslor Cuthbert was 4-for-5 with an RBI and a run. Blue Valley Northwest grad Jason Adam earned a third straight win, limiting the Hooks to two runs and six hits over 6.0 innings. Adam fanned seven and did not allow a walk.
Wilmington Blue Rocks (19-26 2nd half, 52-63 overall)
Wilmington 11, Lynchburg 2
WP: Sam Selman (9-8)
Wilmington broke a 1-1 tie with three in the third, then poured it on with a seven-run seventh. Yem Prades doubled three times, finishing 4-for-6 with two RBI and two runs. Ethan Chapman was 3-for-5 plus two RBI and two runs. Jack Lopez stole two bases and scored three times. 2012 second-round pick Sam Selman walked six but allowed just one hit and one run over 5.0 innings.
Lexington Legends (29-18 2nd half, 62-53 overall)
Lexington 5, Hagerstown 1

Lexington broke a 1-1 tie with three in the fifth, leading to an opening win vs. Hagerstown. Mark Threlkeld hit a solo homer in the first, then capped the fifth with a two-run single. Christian Binford limited the Suns to an unearned run in the first, scattering five hits and a walk over 5.0 innings. The bullpen was perfect as Chas Byrne retired nine batters and John Walter worked a 1-2-3 ninth.
Idaho Falls Chukars (5-4 2nd half, 24-23 overall)
Idaho Falls 3, Grand Junction 1
WP: Jonathan Dziedzic (1-0)
SV: Josiel Martinez (2)
Three Idaho Falls pitchers combined on a two-hitter in an opening win at Grand Junction. Jonathan Dziedzic earned his first pro win, holding the Rockies to a run and two hits over 5.0 innings. Cody Reed worked a perfect sixth and Josiel Martinez tossed 3.0 innings for the save.
Burlington Royals (21-26)
Danville 6, Burlington 2
LP: Ryan Mattes (1-2)
Burlington wrapped up a home-and-home series with a 2-3 mark. Starter Matt Tenuta limited Danville to two runs (one earned), three hits and two walks over 5.0 innings. He has a 2.83 ERA on the year (13 ER in 41.1 IP). Luis Villegas was 2-for-4 with a double and a run scored.
Surprise Royals (5-7 2nd half, 15-25 overall)
Arizona Indians 5, Surprise 3
LP: Carter Hope (0-3)
Surprise lost game two of a home-and-home against the Indians. Edinson Rincon continues to hit well in a rehab stint. He was 3-for-4 with an RBI, boosting his average to .542 (13-for-24). He has nine RBI, including at least one in six straight games.
