Nashville 7, Omaha 0
LP: John Lamb (0-4)
Omaha was held to two hits and a walk in a home loss. Francisco Pena singled in the third and Brian Fletcher added the second hit in the fifth. Nashville scored four in the third off of John Lamb (4.1 IP, 6 H, 4 R, 2 ER, 4 BB, 4 SO). Donnie Joseph worked 2.0 scoreless innings in relief, striking out three and walking four. He is ranked 14th among Royals prospects by MLB.com.
NW Arkansas Naturals (4-13)
Springfield 5, Northwest Arkansas 2
LP: Jason Adam (0-3)
The Naturals dropped game one vs. Springfield as the Cards broke a 2-2 tie with three in the fifth. Jason Adam struck out five, walked none and allowed five runs (four earned) over 5.0 innings. The Overland Park native is ranked ninth among Royals prospects by MLB.com. Cody Fassold (2.0 IP), Scott Alexander (1.0 IP) and Andrew Triggs (1.0 IP) held Springfield scoreless in relief. Lane Adams, Jorge Bonifacio and Whit Merrifield had two hits apiece.
Wilmington Blue Rocks (7-11)
Myrtle Beach 8, Wilmington 7
LP: Kyle Bartsch (0-2)
Wilmington was swept in a four-game set. They are 0-7 vs. Myrtle Beach and 7-4 vs. the rest of the league. The Blue Rocks rallied from a 7-3 deficit, ultimately tying the game at 7-7 in the ninth before falling short. Jack Lopez led Wilmington with three hits and two RBI. Johermyn Chavez added two hits and two runs. Starter Miguel Almonte struck out three while allowing seven runs, four hits and four walks over 3.1 innings.
Lexington Legends (8-10)
Hickory 6, Lexington 4
LP: Luis Rico (0-3)
Lexington scored three in the ninth before falling short at Hickory. Dominique Taylor tripled and drove in two runs. Humberto Arteaga, KC's number 19 prospect, posted three hits while Samir Duenez, Elier Hernandez and Mauricio Ramos had two hits apiece. Starter Luis Rico fanned two while allowing five runs over 5.0 innings.
