Omaha Storm Chasers (42-36)

Omaha finished 1-3 in the series after El Paso plated five in the ninth. The late scoring resulted in a no decision for Sugar Ray Marimon (6.0 IP, 5 H, 3 ER, 0 BB, 5 SO). Christian Colon recorded two hits, extending his hitting streak to 13 games (.404, 21-for-52). Whit Merrifield doubled twice, drove in two and scored a run. He has hit in nine straight (.463, 19-for-41). Matt Fields added his team-leading 12th home run.

NW Arkansas Naturals (3-3 second half, 28-48 overall)

North All-Stars 3, South All-Stars 1

Five Naturals took part in the North squad's win at the Texas League All-Star Game in North Little Rock, home of the Arkansas Travelers. Pitchers had the upper hand, with just nine total hits. Lane Adams (0-for-4) started in center, with Jorge Bonifacio (0-for-3) starting in right. Cheslor Cuthbert was 0-for-3 and Orlando Calixte was 0-for-1. Andrew Triggs recorded two outs in the ninth, allowing one hit.

Wilmington Blue Rocks (4-2 second half, 37-37 overall)

Wilmington 5, Frederick 1

HR: Cody Stubbs 2 (5, 6), Kenny Diekroeger (1), Michael Antonio (3)

The Blue Rocks recorded a season-best four home runs in their first sweep of 2014. Cody Stubbs hit the first two homers, both solo shots. Kenny Diekroeger added a solo blast in the fifth and Michael Antonio made it 5-0 with a two-run homer in the sixth. Miguel Almonte tossed 5.0 shutout innings, striking out five while holding the Keys to three hits and a walk.

Lexington Legends (2-4 second half, 31-45 overall)

Lexington 5, Hagerstown 3

SV: Andrew Edwards (1)
HR: Dominique Taylor (5)

Jake Junis picked up his eighth win as Lexington evened a road series at 1-1. Junis (6.1 IP, 7 H, 3 ER, 0 BB, 6 SO) is tied for second in the Sally League in wins. Alfredo Escalera singled, tripled, drove in a run and scored a run. Dominique Taylor started the scoring with a solo homer in the third.

Idaho Falls Chukars (3-6)

Orem 4, Idaho Falls 0
LP: Alec Mills (0-1)
HR: None

The Chukars were held to five hits in an opening loss at Orem. 2014 11th-rounder Robert Pehl was 3-for-3 plus a walk. Mike Hill and Kyle Pollock added singles. Alec Mills made the start, allowing two runs over 2.0 innings. Jake Newberry followed with 6.0 innings, striking out six while yielding two runs, three hits and three walks.

Burlington Royals (2-4)

Bristol 7, Burlington 1
LP: Corey Ray (0-1)
HR: None

Burlington was denied in its bid for a three-game sweep. Cristian Cano broke up a no-hitter with a fifth-inning double. Chase Vallot doubled to lead off the seventh and later scored the lone Burlington run. The Royals return home for six games, starting with three vs. Elizabethton (Twins).
