Iowa 7, Omaha 4 (Game 2 -- Eight Innings)

Omaha dropped both halves of a split doubleheader at Iowa. Matt Fields' two-run single gave the Storm Chasers an early lead in Game 1. Iowa scored the next three runs, with Francisco Pena's solo homer tying the game in the fourth. Omaha took a 4-2 lead in the eighth inning of Game 2 on a Carlos Peguero home run. Iowa plated five in the home half, including a three-run walk-off homer by Brett Jackson. Clayton Mortensen worked five innings, fanning six while allowing two runs, six hits and three walks. Fields and Whit Merrifield recorded two hits apiece.
NW Arkansas Naturals (6-6 second half, 31-51 overall)
The Naturals were off after a 3-3 road trip to Midland and Frisco. They host the same two teams, beginning Wednesday against Midland (Athletics).
Wilmington Blue Rocks (5-8 second half, 38-43 overall)
Wilmington 8, Potomac 2
WP: Luis Santos (1-1 with Wilmington, 5-2 overall)
Wilmington rolled to an opening win vs. Potomac. Luis Santos earned his first win at this level. He held the Nationals to a run, three hits and a walk while striking out two over 5 2/3 innings. Michael Antonio doubled twice, drove in three and scored a pair of runs. Seventh-ranked Royals prospect Bubba Starling posted two singles and two runs. Cam Gallagher added two RBIS.
Lexington Legends (5-8 second half, 34-49 overall)
Greensboro 16, Lexington 12
LP: Crawford Simmons (1-3)
HR: Dex Kjerstad (3), Alfredo Escalera 2 (7, 8)
Lexington lost a wild series opener that saw each team score five in the ninth. Greensboro scored six in the second, with Lexington plating six in the fourth, including a grand slam by Dex Kjerstad. Alfredo Escalera was 4-for-6 with two home runs, four RBIs and three runs scored. Elier Hernandez recorded four singles, an RBI and a run. He is ranked 10th among Royals prospects by MLB.com.
Idaho Falls Chukars (7-9)
Ogden 4, Idaho Falls 1
LP: Javier Reynoso (0-2)
Idaho Falls dropped to 1-1 in a weeklong home-and-home series. Starter Javier Reynoso struck out nine over 4 2/3 innings, yielding two runs, four hits and three walks. The Chukars recorded four doubles, with seven different players posting a hit. Parker Morin doubled in the fourth and scored on a two-base hit by Mike Hill.
Burlington Royals (6-7)
Danville 10, Burlington 5
LP: Carlos Herrera (0-1)
HR: Amalanai Fukofuka (1)
Burlington made a late rally before losing the opener at Danville. Amalani Fukofuka, a fifth-round pick in 2013, homered to lead off the game. He drove in Burlington's second run on a groundout in the eighth. Manny Olloque was 2-for-4 with a two-run double in the ninth.
