Omaha dropped a second straight to the Sky Sox. Buddy Baumann tossed 3.0 scoreless innings in his first start since 2011. He leads all PCL pitchers who have not given up a home run with 46.1 innings. Baumann has a 1.55 ERA (8 ER). Michael Mariot followed Baumann, allowing five runs over 1.1 IP. Francisco Pena led off the sixth with his team-leading 15th home run. He added a second RBI on a bases-loaded walk in the seventh.
NW Arkansas Naturals (8-8 second half, 33-53 overall)

WP: Christian Binford (1-0 with NW Arkansas, 6-4 overall)

HR: Orlando Calixte (8), Hunter Dozier (1 with NW Arkansas, 5 overall)
Three of KC's top prospects starred in an opening win vs. Frisco. Christian Binford (7.0 IP, 5 H, 3 ER, 1 BB, 2 SO) won his Double-A debut, carrying a no-hitter into the sixth. The 11th-ranked Royals prospect according to MLB.com, Binford will represent the organization at next Sunday's SiriusXM All-Star Futures Game. Number nine prospect Orlando Calixte hit a go-ahead three-run homer in the seventh and number six prospect Hunter Dozier added his first Double-A roundtripper in the eighth. Dozier had two hits and two RBI.
Wilmington Blue Rocks (8-8 second half, 41-43 overall)
Wilmington 3, Winston-Salem 2

HR: Cody Stubbs (8)
Wilmington manufactured the go-ahead run on three walks and a single in the ninth, with Bubba Starling scoring on a freebie to Ramon Torres. Starling is ranked seventh among Royals prospects by MLB.com while Torres is number 20. Cody Stubbs hit a two-run homer in the sixth, plating Torres, who singled to lead off the inning. Stubbs, Torres and Mark Threlkeld had two hits apiece. Jonathan Dziedzic held the Dash to a run, four hits and two walks while striking out one over 5.0 innings.
Lexington Legends (5-12 second half, 34-53 overall)
Asheville 9, Lexington 2
LP: Andrew Edwards (2-4)
Lexington dropped to 0-2 at Asheville. Seven different Legends recorded a hit. Kenny Diekroeger drove in the first Lexington run on a sac fly in the third. He doubled and scored on a sixth-inning grounder by Mauricio Ramos. Every Asheville starter posted at least one hit, with the Tourists going 5-for-11 with runners in scoring position.
Idaho Falls Chukars (9-11)
Ogden 8, Idaho Falls 4
LP: Alec Mills (0-2)
Idaho Falls lost 8-4 after winning by the same score on Friday. The Chukars built a 3-0 lead, however, Ogden scored six times in the fourth. Brawlun Gomez recorded a single, a double and two runs. Wander Franco was 2-for-4 with an RBI single and a double. DonAndre Clark added his league-best seventh stolen base.
Burlington Royals (8-8)
Burlington 5, Danville 4
WP: Andrew Brockett (3-1)
The host team held serve in a four-game home-and-home series, with Burlington winning a back-and-forth game on Saturday. Xavier Fernandez capped a two-run eighth with an RBI double, scoring Amalani Fukofuka. Joshua Banuelos recorded two hits, two RBI, a stolen base and the tying run. Logan Moon added two hits, two steals and two runs, extending his hitting streak to eight games (.367, 11-for-30). The Blue Springs South graduate was KC's sixth-round pick this June out of Missouri Southern.
