Royals Minor League report: July 14

Omaha Storm Chasers (51-45)

The Storm Chasers enjoyed day one of the PCL All-Star Break. Catcher Francisco Pena, outfielder Paulo Orlando and reliever Spencer Patton will participate in the Triple-A All-Star Game on Wednesday night at Durham. The game will be broadcast on MLB Network at 6:00 Central. Pena participated in the Home Run Derby on Monday night, reaching the finals. Las Vegas slugger Allan Dykstra won the contest. Pena and Dykstra were teammates when Pena was in the Mets system.

NW Arkansas Naturals (12-12 second half, 37-57 overall)

Northwest Arkansas dropped to 1-1 in a home set. Tulsa scored two in the first, with each team scoring a run in the fifth, seventh, eighth and ninth. Andy Ferguson scattered four runs (three earned) and nine hits over 7.0 innings. He fanned four and walked none. Ethan Chapman was 3-for-4 with three runs scored. Angel Franco drove in two runs for a second straight night. Number nine Royals prospect Orlando Calixte added two hits and an RBI while sixth-ranked prospect Hunter Dozier was 2-for-4 with a run.

Wilmington Blue Rocks (10-12 second half, 43-47 overall)

Salem at Potomac - Postponed due to rain

The Blue Rocks were postponed for the 12th time in 2014. The game will be made up when Salem visits Wilmington during the season's final series. The Blue Rocks are off on Tuesday. They are scheduled to play two at Potomac (Nationals) on Wednesday.

Lexington Legends (10-15 second half, 39-56 overall)

The Legends had Monday off. They play at Charleston (Yankees) on Tuesday.

Idaho Falls Chukars (15-13)

Great Falls 7, Idaho Falls 3

Idaho Falls lost the rubber game to finish a tour to Billings and Great Falls at 5-2. DonAndre Clark led the Chukars with three hits and two RBI. Wander Franco added two hits and a run, recording his eighth multi-hit game in his last 10 contests (.538, 19-for-38). The Chukars have Tuesday off. They'll host the same two teams at home, with three against Billings and four vs. Great Falls.

Burlington Royals (11-14)

Johnson City 9, Burlington 4
LP: Niklas Stephenson (0-2)
HR: None

Burlington scored the first two runs before falling short in a bid for a three-game sweep. Starter Carlos Herrera held the Cards to three unearned runs, two hits and two walks through 5.0 innings. Joshua Banuelos was 3-for-3 with two doubles and an RBI, lifting his average to .300 (21-for-70). Angelo Castellano also posted a 3-for-3 night with two doubles, an RBI plus a run.
