Omaha Storm Chasers (57-54)
Memphis 6, Omaha 4
LP: Buddy Baumann (1-2)

The Storm Chasers dropped a game on division-leading Iowa (60-54) with a home loss to Memphis. Paulo Orlando recorded three hits, including a double. Peguero hit a solo homer in the fourth and Whit Merrifield singled home two in the sixth. Baumann (four innings, seven hits, four earned runs, one walk, one strikeout) took the loss. Tim Collins struck out the side in a 1-2-3 ninth.
NW Arkansas Naturals (19-21 second half, 44-66 overall)
Tulsa 6, NW Arkansas 3
LP: J.C. Sulbaran (7-8)
HR: Cheslor Cuthbert (10)
Northwest Arkansas lost Game 1 at Tulsa. Sulbaran fanned six and walked none, however, he allowed six runs over three-plus innings (he faced four hitters in the fourth). Malcom Culver (two innings), Mark Peterson (two innings) and Blake Wood (one inning) posted scoreless relief outings. Cuthbert reached base three times, and he drove in all of the Northwest Arkansas runs on a homer in the eighth.
Wilmington Blue Rocks (19-19 second half, 52-54 overall)
Lynchburg 4, Wilmington 3 (Completed Early -- Rain)
LP: Aroni Nina (2-1)
Wilmington scored three in the sixth to take a 6-4 lead on Thursday, only to lose 4-3 as rain stopped play, and the game reverted back to the last completed inning. Michael Antonio, Zane Evans, Cam Gallagher and Daniel Rockett had two hits apiece. Gallagher, Rockett and Terrance Gore each drove in a run. Evans had a go-ahead, two-run single washed away.
Lexington Legends (15-25 second half, 44-66 overall)
Lexington 5, West Virginia 4
WP: Jose Miguel Rodriguez (4-1)
SV: Tim Hill (4)
Mauricio Ramos took one for the team as he recorded the go-ahead RBI upon being hit by a pitch in the eighth. Elier Hernandez hit three hits, an RBI and a run. Starter Luke Farrell fanned 10 over five innings.
Idaho Falls Chukars (1-4 second half, 21-22 overall)
Grand Junction 8, Idaho Falls 5
LP: Eric Skoglund (0-2)
The Chukars are 0-2 at Grand Junction. Omaha's Sugar Ray Marimon made a rehab appearance in relief, striking out three while allowing a run, four hits and no walks over three innings. Brandon Downes was 4-for-5 with a run, raising his season average to .385 (30-for-78).
Burlington Royals (18-22)
Princeton 6, Burlington 1
LP: Carter Hope (0-3)
Burlington lost the opener of a three-game set. Joshua Banuelos and Logan Moon had two hits apiece. Moon has hit in seven straight games (.393, 11-for-28). The Blue Springs native is batting .313 overall. 2013 third-round pick Hope struck out six while allowing five runs over six innings.
