HR: Carlos Peguero (22), Francisco Pena (26), Cheslor Cuthbert (No. 1 with Omaha, No. 11 overall)
The Storm Chasers won behind the strength of three home runs. They jumped out to a 4-0 lead in the first on back-to-back blasts, first a three-run shot by Carlos Peguero, followed by Francisco Pena's 26th of the year. Cheslor Cuthbert recorded his first Triple-A homer, a two-run shot in the third. The win went to Clayton Mortensen (7 IP, 5 hits, 2 ER, BB, K).
NW Arkansas Naturals (26-26 second half, 51-72 overall)
NW Arkansas 6, San Antonio 4

SV: Mark Peterson (3 with NW Arkansas, 25 overall)
HR: Mitch Maier (2)
Northwest Arkansas built a 6-0 lead and withstood a late San Antonio rally in a series-opening win. Mitch Maier hit a two-run homer in the fifth, extending the lead to 5-0. Hunter Dozier delivered two hits, two RBIs and a run. Andy Ferguson tossed six shutout innings, striking out nine with two hits and two walks. He lowered his ERA to 2.96.
Wilmington Blue Rocks (25-26 second half, 58-61 overall)
Wilmington 5, Winston-Salem 3

HR: Raul Adalberto Mondesi (7)
Wilmington earned a win in Game 1 vs. Winston-Salem. Cody Stubbs drove in three, including a go-ahead, two-run double in the eighth. Top-ranked Royals prospect Raul Adalberto Mondesi continued his recent power surge, going deep for the fifth time in his last seven games. Bubba Starling walked twice and scored two runs.
Lexington Legends (20-35 second half, 49-76 overall)
West Virginia 9, Lexington 2
LP: Luke Farrell (1-12)
HR: Frank Schwindel (20)
Lexington dropped to 1-1 against the Power this series. Frank Schwindel provided all the offense with a two-run homer in the sixth. His 20 home runs are fourth in the league, and he moved into a tie for eighth with 70 RBIs. Starter Luke Farrell fanned six while yielding three runs, seven hits and two walks in four innings.
Idaho Falls Chukars (9-8 second half, 29-26 overall)
Idaho Falls at Missoula (PPD: rain)
The Chukars had their series opener at Missoula postponed due to rain. A doubleheader is scheduled for tonight, with Game 1 set for 7 p.m. CT.
Burlington Royals (22-32)
Danville 5, Burlington 2 (six innings)
LP: Foster Griffin (0-2)
The Burlington Royals returned to Danville after playing the Braves at home on Thursday, and the game was called in the sixth due to rain. Brandon Dulin and Amalani Fukofuka each drove in a run for Burlington. Foster Griffin, the 27th overall pick in June, allowed three runs on two hits and two walks with three strikeouts over 2 2/3 innings.
