Liriano turned in carbon-copy starts in his first two outings for the Bucs, striking out a total of 16 in 11 innings. The former American Leaguer lost his only Interleague meeting with the Cubs, allowing four runs in 5 2/3 innings last June.

Jackson is coming off his best outing as a Cub, allowing three runs in 6 2/3 innings against the Mets, but took the loss against Matt Harvey. Jackson last faced the Reds on May 5 in Chicago, giving up four runs in five innings while taking the loss.

Gomez continues to give the Bucs four solid innings every start, before he begins to wear down around the 60-pitch mark. That is owed to the fact he prepped for relief duty in Spring Training and is still building up arm strength.

Estrada earned one of the Brewers' two wins on their 10-game road trip with a three-hit, seven-inning gem against the Pirates, allowing one run. But his last time out he was hit hard against the Cardinals, giving up four runs in 5 2/3 innings.

Locke has continued his steady 2013 behind A.J. Burnett in the Pirates' rotation after going 1-3 with a 6.30 ERA in six starts in September and October last season. He tossed seven shutout innings in a 1-0 win over the Astros on Sunday.

Rodriguez has been a model of consistency in a strong Pirates rotation this month. He has thrown at least six innings in his four starts in May, going 3-1 with a 2.88 ERA. He has struck out 19 and walked two in those starts, as well.
