Brown's RBI lifts KC
Royals 3, Mariners 2
Gil Meche threw 113 pitches, one short of his season-high, against the Mariners. (AP)
 DeJesus' homer
Emil Brown was the hero for the Royals, ending the marathon game in the 11th inning with a walk-off sac fly. Gil Meche started against the Mariners -- the team he used to call his own -- for the third time this season. The right-hander allowed just two runs in 6 1/3 innings, but unfortunately for Meche, Jose Guillen's RBI single in the first set up a tie score, leaving him with a no-decision.
