After Asdrubal Cabrera tied the game with a two-out RBI single in the ninth inning, Travis Hafner and Victor Martinez each hit an RBI single in the 11th, lifting the Indians over the Royals. Cleveland maintained its 2 1/2-game lead over Detroit in the American League Central. Fausto Carmona gave up three runs over six innings.
