Troy Glaus hit a solo homer in the seventh inning and added an RBI single in the eighth, but that was the only runs St. Louis could muster. Joel Pineiro pitched 7 2/3 innings, giving up seven runs, as the Cardinals dropped their third straight, and fourth in a row against the Royals.
