Gavin Floyd gave up five runs in 6 1/3 against the Royals and the White Sox offense was shutdown by Kansas City starter Kyle Davies. Alexei Ramirez's two-run homer gave hopes of a late rally, but it wasn't enough. Despite the loss, the White Sox magic number moved to six, after the Twins lost to the Rays on Saturday.
