Twins gain a game
Photos
Twins 9, Royals 4
Nick Punto stole second base in the third, then scored on a wild pitch. (Charlie Riedel/AP)
Michael Cuddyer hit his 30th homer and Nick Punto scored from second base on a wild pitch early, but the Twins did real damage in the fifth, when they scored four runs on just one hit and three bases-loaded walks. Minnesota is now two games back of Detroit in the AL Central.
