The Twins had avoided Zack Greinke all season, but they couldn't capitalize on their chances in the series finale, missing a prime bases-loaded, no-out opportunity in the third. Minnesota got nice relief after Francisco Liriano's short start, but missed a chance to pull within one game of Detroit, which lost to Chicago.
